Introduction

Kyiv International Film Festival Molodist, founded in 1970, is a specialized festival aimed to support films of young directors. Also, the festival is accredited by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF) as a competitive specialized film festival With audiences of over 127,000 per year, Molodist currently enjoys the title of the biggest film festival in Ukraine.

The mission of the festival is to analyze the main trends and tendencies in the work of young filmmakers around the world; to establish and broaden creative contacts between young filmmakers and between film schools; to recognize new personalities in modern film art and to integrate Ukrainian films into the global process of film art and industry;

to develop Kyiv as the cultural capital of Europe.
